Muqaddasat al-Qurbān was a Tavashi priestess and the final known guardian of the hidden sanctuary within Thunderwake. A bronze nameplate recovered after her death identified her as Keeper of the Three Smokes, Upper Sanctum, Fifth Deck. Its reverse bore the inscription: I was not taken. I gave. Let the blade remember me.
Muqaddasat maintained a vigil that had continued long after the other priestesses of the sanctuary had disappeared or died. When the Drakefire Phalanx completed Thunderwake’s three-censer rite and entered the sanctuary, she initially welcomed them as the Children of Huraz and believed their arrival fulfilled an ancient promise that would return Razekah to the living world.
Her response changed when she perceived Visthuun through the Eye of Visthuun carried by Dizra. Muqaddasat described Visthuun as an ancient enemy of Azukhan and believed that carrying the Eye into the sanctuary had allowed the entity to perceive Razekah after ages of concealment.
Concluding that the weapon could not be permitted to fall under Visthuun’s influence, Muqaddasat invoked Jazriq, Lord of the Final Gate, the Huraz name for Jhadric, and surrendered what remained of her mortal self. She transformed into a powerful celestial executioner and attempted to kill the Phalanx despite recognizing them as descendants or inheritors of the people she had spent centuries waiting to aid.
The Phalanx defeated her after a prolonged battle, with Assad delivering the final blow. Her death ended the vigil and allowed Assad to recover Razekah from its pedestal.
