Alidee “Quill” Quill became an active member of the Drakefire Phalanx after Flutter retired from adventuring. She had already been helping with Flutter’s business and information network in Arkrist, and she shared Flutter’s interest in improving conditions for flightless Nyvaryn.
Quill is highly organized and tends to prepare maps, escape routes, supplies, and contingency plans before acting. Her shadow techniques made her particularly valuable during the Phalanx’s infiltration of Khaz’Vel’Tor, where she helped scout the fortress, bypass locks and wards, and accompany Dizra into Zar’Malek’s hoard to recover the Eye of Visthuun. During the escape she also acquired a Foldspace Conduit, which the group later linked to secure storage in Monty’s office.
Quill’s skill with infiltration continued to shape later expeditions. Inside Thunderwake she repeatedly solved or bypassed ancient locks and traps, helped assemble the three ritual censers that opened the final sanctuary, and discovered that extinguishing the sanctuary’s braziers prevented Muqaddasat from continually summoning new manifestations during the final battle.
