Tressedekt is a Nharvek antiquities broker and psionic researcher operating in Arkrist. He normally conceals his ancestry behind a humanoid disguise and conducts business through carefully limited contacts, cultivating a reputation for unsettling but reliable dealings in unusual magical objects.
The Drakefire Phalanx first encountered Tressedekt when he hired them to accompany a transaction involving magical tablets recovered by the Kraken Raiders. The confrontation ended violently, but the Phalanx secured the tablets. During the same affair, Dizra recovered a tapestry bearing an eye motif that reacted painfully to his altered sight.
Tressedekt revealed his true nature after examining the tapestry and recognizing that Dizra’s condition was psionic rather than a conventional magical affliction. Rather than treating Dizra as a threat or specimen to be seized, he proposed a continuing exchange: the Phalanx would help recover artifacts connected to the lost civilization beneath the Gulf of Keravnos, and Tressedekt would use his knowledge to investigate Dizra’s transformation.
His research led the party to the Sunken Ruins of Keravnos and the Memosphere. When the artifact was returned to Arkrist, Tressedekt discovered that its preserved memories were protected by a psionic lattice that responded to Dizra. Their joint contact with the device revealed the history of the Eye of Visthuun and pointed toward Zar’Malek’s hoard in Khaz’Vel’Tor.
After Dizra recovered the Eye, Tressedekt concluded that the artifact had chosen or accepted him in some meaningful sense. He has remained one of the few people in Arkrist capable of discussing Dizra’s condition from direct psionic experience, although his own motives and the full extent of his knowledge remain uncertain.
