Serathiel Quorr was a scholar of the College Arcanum specializing in chronology, temporal magic, and the surviving research associated with Abendigo. For roughly thirty years he pursued the possibility that mortal spellcraft could reproduce effects suggested by Abendigo’s apotheosis and later divine relationship with causality.
Quorr eventually constructed a private extradimensional laboratory, Quorr’s Extradimensional Study, where he could experiment with time, spatial relationships, and portal systems without endangering ordinary College facilities. In early 2026 his colleague Ilyra Voss reported that he had disappeared into the study after claiming that his life’s work was close to completion.
The Drakefire Phalanx entered the laboratory and found its systems collapsing into temporal and spatial instability. Their investigation ultimately reached a sealed library containing Quorr’s corpse and the great violet spellbook he had spent decades creating. A note found on his body contained only the word MISLED, underlined twice.
Quorr’s completed work was The Chronesthesion, a chronomantic spellbook capable of manipulating the timing and structure of magic in ways beyond ordinary wizardry. Lucious was able to claim the book after Quorr’s death and now carries it.
What Quorr believed had misled him remains unknown. The unexplained observer encountered inside his study, the failure of the laboratory’s temporal systems, and the circumstances of Quorr’s death leave open the possibility that the error was more than an ordinary mistake in research.
