Origin: Caelra
Planar Nature: Fey
Game Rules: Use standard Satyr ancestry rules
Satyrs are a horned, hoofed fey people native to Caelra. They are found across numerous regions and societies within the Realm of Impulse and have appeared in mortal stories for centuries through planar travel, trade, diplomacy, migration, and chance encounters.
Mortal art frequently associates satyrs with revelry, music, wine, and unrestrained emotion. Those images grew from particular Caelran traditions and from the satyrs most often encountered by early mortal travelers. Satyr societies also include settled agricultural communities, craftspeople, scholars, soldiers, priests, political institutions, merchants, travelers, and long traditions of performance.
Beyond Caelra
Satyrs have crossed to Kor Sirok through Crossings, Vergeways, and other planar travel for much of recorded history. Some remain temporary visitors, while others establish families or become part of mortal communities. Caelra’s continuing reflective relationship with Kor Sirok means such contact persists even after the Sundering, though it is less predictable than in earlier eras.
Satyr appearance has also influenced mortal religious art. Vingulo, for example, is often depicted in a satyr-like form by cultures that associate indulgence with familiar images of revelry and pleasure. This iconography developed through mortal artistic convention; no surviving tradition connects satyr origins or society specifically to Vingulo.
